Superbissima Dark Purple Petunia Seeds

Superbissima Dark Purple Petunia, a single grandiflora type, is a tender perennial (Zones 10-11), often grown as an annual, that blooms non-stop throughout the season, often to first frost. Heavy-blooming, this petunia blankets its foliage in extremely attractive, flamboyant flowers that can reach to over 6 inches in diameter and have beautifully ruffled petals with fringy edges. The frilly dark purple flowers, dark and heavily veined at the throat, attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

A Petunia h. superbissima, Dark Purple is a tetraploid variety with four times the number of chromosomes as monoploid varieties. Tetraploid varieties are characterized by robustness of flowers and plants, making them particularly resilient and resistant to difficult climatic conditions. Superbissima Dark Purple Petunia is perfect for patio pots and window boxes but is also suitable for flower beds and borders.
